Preparing for and Participating in IEP Team Meetings
Description
This interactive training is designed to help families feel more confident and prepared for IEP team meetings. This session will provide an overview of the purpose of the IEP and the rights of parents under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Participants will learn practical strategies to prepare for meetings, communicate effectively, and actively participate as equal members of the IEP team. The training will also focus on positive and productive advocacy, helping families build collaborative relationships with school teams while supporting their child’s unique needs.
This event is hosted by Exceptional Children's Assistance Center and it will be located at the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum
