Ignite Your Future: A Project Spark Event

Ignite your future with a day of intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) employment resources and networking. 

Join Project Spark at the Carolina Pines Community Center for an exciting day filled with empowerment and motivation. This event is designed to be an opportunity for the I/DD community and their families to connect with the many resources available — all in one place! 

When: September 9, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Where: Carolina Pines Community Center, 2305 Lake Wheeler Road, Raleigh, NC 27603 

Schedule

• Session 1: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
• Lunch available: 12:00 - 1:30 p.m.
• Session 2: 1:30 - 4:00 p.m. 

Activities and Opportunities

• Free Benefits Counseling: One-on-one sessions with certified counselors plus group information sessions every hour
• Learn about Project Spark: Free program offering one-on-one guidance, services and tools to help people with an I/DD find a fulfilling job and thrive in their community
• Meet Employers: Connect with Spark partner employers and learn about available job opportunities
• Community Resources: Explore vocational rehabilitation services, Independent Living, Assistive Technology, and healthcare services
• Peer Mentor Panel: Hear from current Spark participants and members of the I/DD community about their employment experiences
• Entertainment & Prizes: Music, prize wheel, and giveaways
