Description
This presentation is for self-advocates, caregivers, and the Alamance County community. The presentation will focus specifically on developmental disabilities and how you can
better understand, interact with, and support your loved ones, friends, neighbors, and fellow community members. Topics include:
- Emergency preparedness
- Safe Interactions with law enforcement
- Online safety basics
- Wandering Prevention
- Creating family safety plans
- Fire and other safety considerations
When: Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Where: Alamance Community College, First Floor of the Student Services Building, 1247 Jimmie Kerr Road, Graham, NC 27253.
