The University of North Carolina Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities program invites Self-Advocates to apply to be a LEND Trainee for the 2016-2017 academic year.

• The goal of the LEND program at the Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities is to prepare trainees from diverse professional disciplines to assume leadership roles in their respective fields.
• The program welcomes students from a diverse disciplines, including Audiology, Education, Physical Therapy, etc., all of whom share a desire to address the needs of individuals with ID/D and their families.
• The LEND Program is federally funded through HRSA Maternal Child Health Bureau.
• The UNC LEND leads the country by including parents and self-advocates as equal members of the interdisciplinary educational cohort, representing the field of Advocacy.
