Part of ANCOR's 2022 Policy Summit & Hill Day: Oct. 11-12
Medicaid and community-based services have taken an unprecedented focus in congressional discussion and corresponding relief packages since the declaration of the public health emergency in early 2020. This has created space at the table for stakeholders in the field of community disability services to work directly and transparently with congressional allies to highlight the impacts of a decades-long direct support workforce crisis.
During this roundtable discussion, we invite professional staff from the offices of key congressional allies to share bipartisan and bicameral perspectives on how Congress is addressing the direct support workforce crisis to improve access to home- and community-based services.
