Inclusive Employment Summit
Description
We are pleased to announce that Extraordinary Ventures is hosting an Inclusive Employment Summit this Fall in partnership with Work Together NC! The event will occur on September 9th, 9am-4pm at Extraordinary Ventures in Chapel Hill.
Goals of the Summit
- Educate employers on the value of hiring people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD) as an essential part of DEI. Equip employers with practical resources to take the first steps toward inclusive practices.
2. Provide resources, networking, and leadership opportunities for individuals with ID/DD seeking employment or career development.
3. Provide a platform for cross-sector community collaboration toward employment equity in the Triangle/Triad area.
The event is free along with free lunch, thanks to funding from NCCDD! A virtual attendance option will be available.
