North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities Seeks Public Input on Five-Year State Plan Goals and Objectives

February 27, 2026

March 2, 2026 (RALEIGH, NC) – The North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities (NCCDD) invites North Carolinians to share feedback on the proposed Goals and Objectives for its next Five-Year State Plan (2027-2031) through a public survey.

The Five-Year State Plan sets the Council’s priorities and guides how funding is invested to improve services, supports, and opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) across North Carolina. Public feedback will help ensure the Plan reflects the needs and lived experiences of the I/DD community.

This survey marks the second phase of NCCDD’s public input process. The draft Goals and Objectives were developed based on feedback collected through earlier public surveys and listening sessions.

People with I/DD, family members, and community stakeholders are now invited to review and comment on the draft to help strengthen and refine the Plan before finalization.

Learn more about the 2027-2031 Goals and Objectives and how to submit public input on NCCDD’s website. The deadline to complete the survey is April 16, 2026.
