Become a LEND Self-Advocate Trainee 2018-2019

LEND Trainees in Self-Advocacy:

Are you a strong Self-Advocate looking for an opportunity to make a difference?

Do you want to:

  • Improve your leadership skills?
  • Learn about disability history and issues?

Share your life experience, insight and expertise in a course alongside UNC students?

The LEND Self-Advocate Trainee will:

  • Attend a weekly course
  • Have support from an education coach
  • Work with UNC students in small-group activities and discussion
  • Attend 6 Leadership Workshops
  • Engage in projects and community experiences
  • Participate for 10-20 hours weekly
  • Receive small financial stipend
