Meet The Need NC offers a monthly Hear. Share. Act. Lunch & Learn Webinar Series that aims to educate and empower by diving into topics that are important to North Carolinians with intellectural or developmental disabilities (I/DD). This series is held on the third Tuesday of each month from 12 – 1 PM. It’s free and held online!

The topic for September is part 1 or a two-part series that discusses the I/DD workforce crisis featuring Dr. Pat Porter. She will provide a historical overview of the I/DD workforce crisis and take a deep dive into the current DSP workforce crisis which is key to meeting the service and support needs of the I/DD community and making community living a true choice. Pat is the former Chief of Developmental Disability Services and Senior Policy Advisor to the NC General Assembly. She also serves as an advisor to the NC Innovations DSP Workgroup.
