Injury-Free NC, a collaboration between the North Carolina Division of Public Health, Injury and Violence Prevention Branch and the University of North Carolina's Injury Prevention Research Center, is launching its 2025 Injury-Free NC Academy on Harm Reduction as Transformative Practice. The purpose of this Academy is to work with community-based organizations, local health departments, coalitions, and individuals who are planning or have taken steps to establish an evidence-based, overdose prevention program or want to learn more about harm reduction principles and how to incorporate them into overdose prevention work.
Each Academy session will take place in two parts: two days that will take place in person and two that will take place virtually. The Harm Reduction Academy will be offered twice in 2025 on the following dates:

July Academy
In-Person Session: July 10 & 11, 2025
Virtual Session: July 15 & 16, 2025
Location: Winston-Salem, NC
