New icon displays an active, engaged image with focus on the person with disability. March 27, 2019 (Raleigh, NC) – The North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities (NCCDD) is hosting a painting event with The Accessible Icon Project to paint the new accessible icon on accessible parking spaces at NCCDD’s office and also on the Dorothea Dix campus. The new icon displays an active, engaged image with focus on the person with disability. The event also celebrates the Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month which is celebrated every March.
