DHHS Secretary Promotes Everybody Works NC

Goldsboro, NC - February 27, 2018 - A new statewide initiative is encouraging businesses to hire persons with disabilities. 

North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mandy Cohen was in Goldsboro Monday talking about the EveryBody Works NC campaign. Cohen was the keynote speaker during Monday’s forum at WorkSource East in Goldsboro. She says there’s an untapped pool of talent in the state’s disability community.

Jackie Tetterton is the Facility Director at WorkSource East. She says the Vocational Rehabilitation location in Goldsboro provides training in 13 areas to persons with disabilities.Goldsboro Daily News DHHS Sec Cohen

The Everybody Works NC campaign is led by the North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities, North Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation and the North Carolina Business Leadership Network to promote and support inclusive workforce strategies.
