NC Sibling Support Initiative Hosts Planning Call

NCCDD's NC Siblings Planning Call will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 24  at 7:00PM. Join the call online: https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/341951109

Siblings of people with disabilities are often the next generation of support and caregivers as parents age. Siblings have unique support needs as they care for their aging parents, their own children, and their siblings. The NC Siblings Meetup group seeks to connect siblings from across the state in a meaningful way. It plans to organize in-person and virtual meetings that will allow adult siblings to feel a sense of connectedness, provide and receive emotional support, and share resources with other sibs in and around their community. It will also be using these meetings to provide siblings with important information about future planning, guardianship alternatives, financial advice, and a host of other topics.
