Telling Their Stories: Disability Lookbook Photographer Grant
To Illustrate the impact, importance and usefulness of employing people with disabilities and how employment (no sheltered workshops) enhances the quality of their lives and allows for financial independence, NCCDD is creating an interactive digital Lookbook.
DESCRIPTION:
On behalf of NCCDD, O’Neill Communications is seeking THREE (3) qualified freelance photographers active in the North Carolina photography community for its Lookbook project. One photographer from each region of the State: Mountain, Piedmont and Coastal will be selected. Each photographer will be capturing people with disabilities in their employment and community settings in such ways that portray their lifestyles without insinuating or highlighting stereotypes. Some knowledge or involvement in the disability community is a plus.

BUDGET:
This grant is funded in the amount of $10,000 per photographer all-inclusive of travel, editing, equipment maintenance, assistants, etc.
Applications are welcome from any freelance photographer who resides in North Carolina and who can present a portfolio of high-quality work that highlights an understanding of photo composition, lighting and posed subjects as well as live-action photography.
