NCCDD Celebrates DD Awareness MonthAdvocacy is one of the Council’s strongest initiatives. Here is how you can get involved in advocacy for North Carolina’s disability community!

Public Voices

DHHS agencies, the Council and other organizations look for feedback from the community and people they serve. The agencies and organizations host important listening sessions across the State that encourage people to voice their opinions on disability issues that affect them the most. Whether it is a local town hall meeting or a North Carolina agency listening tour, be involved in advocacy for issues that matter to you and your community.

Visit NCCDD’s calendar of events for upcoming events across the State.

Legislative Advocacy

It’s important to know what issues are being discussed that could impact the disability community. Read about what’s going on at the Capitol and how you can reach out to your Representative or Senator.
