NCCDD Announces RFA for NC Advocacy Leaders Network

DEADLINE EXTENDED to JULY 10th!

The Council received a request for the application deadline to be extended for the Leadership Network RFA.  After careful consideration of all factors including the delay in publicizing the RFA, the Council has decided to extend the deadline to July 10, 2023 at 5:00 pm.

The funding for this RFA will be up to $90,000.00 each year, for up to three years, with required minimum of 25% non-federal matching funds ($30,000.00) beginning October 1, 2023 and ending September 30, 2024.  This RFA will address Goal 3, Objective A: Increase support to [a] statewide self-advocacy organization(s) through leadership development and coalition participation.

Bidders’ Workshop & Informational Conference

The North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting to attend a Bidders Workshop to discuss the NC Advocacy Leaders Network Request for Applications (RFA) process. Please email [email protected] or call 984-920-8200 if you have issues connecting. The Bidders' Workshop and informational conference call will occur on June 7, 2023 from 1 - 3 PM (EDT). The recording will be available after the workshop.

A Request for Applications (RFA) is the way the NCCDD asks for proposals for initiatives that will help the Council achieve the goals outlined in its Five-Year State Plan.

All applications must be received by 5:00 pm EDT on July 10, 2023. Please apply on DD Suite: https://ddsuite.org/?nofa_id=2068

Following the Q & A Session on June 7, 2023, all questions and responses will be posted here.

Important Dates to Consider:

  • May 17, 2023: Request for applications distributed to eligible applicants and posted on the North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities website (www.nccdd.org).
  • June 7, 2023: Interested applicants may attend a Question and Answer Session via Zoom from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time. (Details below).
  • July 10, 2023: Applications due to the NCCDD by close of business, 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time
  • August 18, 2023: Award announced.
  • October 1, 2023: Contract begins.

  5. An NCCDD contractor must be registered with the North Carolina Secretary of State: https://www.sosnc.gov
  6. An NCCDD contractor must obtain a Unique Entity ID by going to: https://sam.gov/content/home
  7. An NCCDD contractor that is a non-profit organization must submit an updated tax exemption or 501(c)(3) Determinations Letter by going to: https://www.irs.gov/charities-non-profits/tax-exempt-organization-search
