It’s a great time to be looking for a job, going back to school or getting additional training to improve your employability. North Carolina’s unemployment rate is below 5% and employers are searching for potential new employees and entering the job market today may offer you great new opportunities.

People with disabilities – young and old - are benefitting from pre-employment training opportunities and new job placement services offered by North Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation (NCVR). Others are enrolling in one of the many inclusive post-secondary educational programs (IPSE) being offered by state technical and community colleges and universities.

In addition, a broad range of assistive technologies are available to enhance improve accessibility, better equip you to perform job functions and support independent living. About the EveryBody Works NC Campaign

The EveryBody Works NC campaign is increasing awareness of the untapped pool of talent found in the disability community and working to create more and more job opportunities for people with disabilities. In addition, the campaign is educating self-advocates and their families about the value of employment and how to access employment, training and education programs to improve employability.

The campaign is led by the North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities (NCCDD), the North Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation (NCVR) and the North Carolina Business Leadership Network (NCBLN) to promote and support of inclusive workforce strategies.
