In a typical day, Paul alphabetized caller's business cards, matched mailing labels to outgoing letters and affixed them to the correct envelope, retrieved mail for several offices from the mail room elsewhere in the building and delivered correspondence between some offices, attended legislative sessions and events held on the grounds for the education/acquaintance of the legislators, accompanied the representative when he gave tours of the Capitol, and other tasks as assigned. He wore a coat and tie each time he worked as this is the required dress code for Chambers.
