Governance Ad Hoc Committee Meeting
MINUTES
December 8, 2015

Members Present: Adonis Brown, Crystal Foreman, I. Azell Reeves, Peggy Terhune

Members Absent: Eric Chavis, Lourdes Fernandez, Desiree Peterson

Staff Present: Chris Egan, JoAnn Toomey

The meeting scheduled for November 13^th was cancelled and rescheduled for today. This open meeting was held via tele-conference. Peggy Terhune and Crystal Foreman opened the meeting by welcoming the members. Members continued the process of updating and streamlining the final six NCCDD policies.

The policies updated by Peggy and reviewed for the members were Effective Communication, Internal Fiscal Controls and Funding, Matching and Non-Matching Funds, Member Training and Travel, and Sole-Source Funding. The Off-Cycle Funding policy was reviewed and it was felt that it may not be relevant anymore and will be recommended for elimination. Minor revisions to wording were suggested for the other five policies and Peggy offered to make the changes and send again after the meeting. JoAnn will make all the formatting changes so that all the policies were uniform in font, etc.

It was agreed that with the upcoming holidays, the next teleconference meeting will be scheduled in the first part of 2016. Meeting adjourned.
