NC ABLE Comes to North Carolina!

Starting January 26, individuals with disabilities can save and invest without jeopardizing means-tested benefits. The NC ABLE Program launches nationwide at NC.SaveWithABLE.com. These affordable, tax-advantaged accounts allow eligible individuals, with either physical or cognitive disabilities, to save up to $14,000 a year without endangering eligibility for certain means-tested federal and state benefit programs, including Medicaid and Supplemental Security Income (SSI). For more information, click here.

Learn More about NCCDD's Current Initiatives in our Expanded Initiative Section

Through its new Five Year Plan, the Council promotes advocacy development, community living and financial asset development so people with I/DD have options to make choices about work, where to live, friendships, taking part in the various activities of their community and other personally defined outcomes. NCCDD has expanded our initiative section to help you better understand what our partners are doing to help the lives of people with developmental and other intellectual disabilities.
