How We Help

lady hugging a childThe North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities (NCCDD) focuses on improving the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) through promoting independence, productivity, integration and inclusion and connecting them and their families to the resources and services they need to enjoy the community of their choice.

As an organization, the Council identifies problems facing the disability community and fosters regulatory and service provider innovation and change to increase the funding and capacity for support programs through public policy, advocacy, leadership and education.
