Last fall AHEAD offered a webinar series on leadership that was directed to disability resource office managers and directors. That series was attended by 80 office leaders who shared positive feedback but who also emphasized the fact that it’s not only the director of an office who is a “leader.” Indeed, all staff in the office can and should be involved in contributing to the growth and development of the office, students, and the institution’s culture toward disability. This session will include ways to assess how you can continue to grow the value that you add within your office and strategies for expand your reach to serve in the larger campus community beyond your office. We will explore opportunities for increasing your institutional involvement, leading initiatives, and establishing credibility in all aspects of your work.
