Holidays can be a challenge for individuals on the Autism Spectrum. Routines change, new sensory experiences occur, interaction with strangers can be off-putting. Any of these alone can increase anxiety and lead to decreased cooperation and possible meltdowns. For many families, holidays provide a rare chance to reconnect with family and out of town friends. The thought of an autism related problem can heighten anxiety for parents. This workshop is designed to help parents develop helpful strategies that can be used to decrease anxiety by providing structure for their child on the Autism Spectrum. Planning and practice can increase the chance for positive outcomes. Details and registration at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/planning-for-an-autism-friendly-holiday-webinar-registration-70319422285
